Not Just the Economist

A very nice point made by Donald MacKenzie in the pages of the Financial Times: “Beneath all the toxic acronyms lies a basic cultural issue”, November 25 2009 (or, alternatively, “Culture gap let toxic instruments thrive”, November 26 2009).

    Nice point indeed. Pity most of these views from the social studies of finance have not really made it to the debates on the causes, consequences and policies of the crisis. Very often things seem to revert to a is-the-Market-good-or-bad mode. Or am I missing something?
